After a night in the forest punctuated by a thunderstorm and heavy rain that, fortunately, had cleared by the morning we had to decide what our next step would be. The weather forecast looks variable pretty much all over this area so we decided to head to the coast to look for a site with a laundry and good facilities. At least that way, if it does rain, we’ll be a bit more comfortable !

We settled on a site near Eden which has a coastal lake on one side of it with a decent beach on another side. The facilities are good and we got a site next to the lake. We arrived at around lunch time so went for a paddle on the beach, tempting to go for a swim if the weather holds off.

We’ve decided to stay for a couple of nights and then see what the weather is doing before we decide on the next stop. In the meantime we’re chilling and getting everything dried out !
