Well, the main reason is because we already had a 90 and didn’t have a 110 ! There are a selection of other reasons too though.

We’ve noticed a tendency for overland vehicles and their loads to grow to fit the available space. If we had a 110 we’d be a lot less picky about what goes with us and what doesn’t and the net result is more weight and more junk. More weight is a bad thing in so many ways:

1. Higher fuel consumption, reducing your range and increasing the cost.
2. More wear and tear on the vehicle, increasing the chance of failures.
3. A higher chance of getting the vehicle bogged
4. More difficult to self recover the bogged vehicle

Using the 90 is certainly more challenging when it comes to fitting everything in but then that in itself concentrates the mind.
